Description

1873-CC T$1 Chop Mark AU53 PCGS. Type One Obverse and Reverse. The 1873-CC Trade dollar is a better date in and of itself, with a mintage of only 124,500 pieces, but an array of chop marks (10 in all) adds an additional degree of intrigue to the present example. Soft, golden-gray toning blankets each side, and the design elements are sharply struck. Population of chop-marked examples: 1 in 53, 4 finer (7/14).
