Description

1873-CC Trade Dollar, Frosty MS62

1873-CC T$1 MS62 PCGS. The 1873-CC Trade dollar issuance overlaps that of the 1873-CC Seated dollars, the former a series just beginning, the latter a series ending. Although more than 124,000 1873-CC Trade dollars were struck compared to only 2,300 of the Seated dollar counterpart, most of the 1873-CC Trade dollars were exported, as was their intended purpose. This MS62 PCGS example is one of 19 submissions in this grade, and 19 are finer (6/14). The surfaces of this piece are frosty and untoned throughout, boasting strong eye appeal. Scattered contact marks determine the grade, but none are singularly mentionable.(Registry values: N4719)
