Description
1875-CC Trade Dollar, MS62
Richly Toned Example

 1875-CC T$1 MS62 NGC. JK-6, HA-1, Coxe 2.1, R.3. The 1875-CC
mintage represents the largest yearly Trade dollar production from
the Carson City mint -- 1,573,700 pieces were struck. While readily
available through lower Mint State grades, the 1875-CC becomes
moderately scarce in MS62 condition and increasingly challenging
any finer. This MS62 example is richly toned with intense cobalt
blue, copper-gold, and brownish-gray colors. Windows of silver
luster reveal a sharp strike and only minor marks.Heritage has identified 26 obverse dies and 25 reverse dies accounting for at least 38 1875-CC varieties. This HA-1 die pair aligns with the Joe Kirchgessner's JK-6 variety and Coxe 2.1, with a lengthy die line from the eagle's beak and a spur from the center of R in TRADE. A spikelike die line emerges from the dentils below O in DOLLAR. For more information on Carson City Trade dollar varieties visit u filmsgraded.com/cctrade/ /u .
