Important 1875-CC Trade Dollar MS65 NGC

1875-CC T$1 MS65 NGC. Type One Reverse. Dazzling cartwheel luster sweeps across the remarkably clean fields. Medium golden-gray color only increases the eye appeal. The strike is crisp except for the usual softness on the right (facing) eagle's leg and on Liberty's toes. A pair of small ticks on the cheek and a miniscule obverse ding at 4:30 are mentioned only for accuracy. The 1875-CC is scarce but obtainable in Uncirculated condition through the MS64 level, but Gems are a different matter. As of (10/05), NGC has certified a mere three pieces at the MS65 level, and PCGS has only encapsulated one example above MS64, as MS66.
