Toned Near-Gem 1875 Trade Dollar
Better Philadelphia Date

1875 T$1 MS64 NGC. Type Two Reverse. Dusky golden-brown toning deepens to steel-gray near the rims. Nicely struck and only lightly abraded. Far fewer Trade dollars were produced at the Philadelphia Mint in 1875 (just 218,200 business strikes) than at the Carson City or San Francisco facilities, and Choice or better Mint State representatives are legitimately scarce.
