Doubled Die Reverse
1876-CC T$1 Doubled Die Reverse, FS-801, AU55 PCGS. Type One
Obverse and Reverse, Tall CC. Wide die doubling is seen on most
reverse design elements, with the most noticeable spread seen on
the lower-right wreath branch. Deep gunmetal-gray toning blankets
each side of this Choice AU Carson City dollar. The design elements
are boldly struck, and only a brush of friction is seen over each
side. A well-preserved, appealing example of this popular Guide
Book variety. Population: 6 in 55, 13 finer (5/14).Coin Index Numbers: (Variety PCGS# 145815, Base PCGS# 97042, Greysheet# 351917)
