Description

Well Struck 1876 Trade Dollar, MS64

1876 T$1 MS64 PCGS. Type One Obverse, Type Two Reverse. The 1876 has a relatively low mintage of 455,000 circulation strikes. Dusky grayish-tan patination with electric-blue accents concentrates at the borders of this near-Gem. Generally well struck except for the usual weakness on the eagle's left (facing) claw. A faint linear graze in the left obverse field denies Gem classification. Gem and better pieces are difficult to locate.(Registry values: N2998)
