Gem Mint State 1876 Trade Dollar
Type One Obverse, Type Two Reverse

1876 T$1 MS65 PCGS. CAC. Type One Obverse, Type Two Reverse. A transitional design pair for the 1876 Trade dollar with the first obverse (featuring, among other regrettable items, a three-fingered hand of Liberty) paired with the second reverse (no berry under claw, lowest arrow ending above the 2 in 420) that was used intermittently in 1875 and 1876 before becoming the standard in 1877. This Gem example has warm luster under ample patina, cerulean at the borders and dusky peach interiors. The obverse adds a touch of gold-tinged gray at its core.
