Patinated Gem 1876 Trade Dollar
Scarce Type One Reverse
1876 T$1 MS65 PCGS. Type One Obverse and Reverse. Although
the Type One Reverse is the scarcer subtype for the issue, this
coin's exceptional level of preservation is its claim to fame. No
marks are visible, and luster rolls readily across the rich blanket
of dove-gray, aquamarine, and peach-red toning. The strike is sharp
save for characteristic incompleteness on the eagle's right
(facing) leg. Population: 20 in 65, 8 finer (12/09).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2539, PCGS# 7041, GSID# 7355)
