1877-CC Trade Dollar, MS61
Chop Mark, Repunched Date

1877-CC T$1 Chop Mark MS61 PCGS. Breen-5817. A single chop is present on the beak of the eagle. A lustrous, brilliant, and crisply struck Carson City representative. Minor obverse hairlines are noted, but the eye appeal surpasses the numerical grade. The base of the 1 in the date is repunched. The Bowers silver dollar encyclopedia mentions a Medium CC variety, but all encountered by this cataloger exhibit a Tall CC mintmark.
