Appealing 1877-S Trade Dollar, MS63
1877-S T$1 MS63 PCGS. Large S. The 1877-S mintage of more than 9.5 million coins was the heyday of the Trade dollar, struck in the year before the new Morgan silver dollars made them irrelevant and spelled their eventual demise. This appealing Select piece would make a superior choice for a type set, with deep golden-gray surfaces that offer plenty of radiant luster and a bold strike. Light contact marks account for the grade.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 253E, PCGS# 7046, GSID# 7383)
