Description

Patinated Choice 1877-S Trade Dollar

1877-S T$1 MS64 ANACS. Honey-gold, radish-red, lime-green, and ice-blue compete for territory across this lovely semi-prooflike near-Gem. The strike is exemplary, and a search for abrasions fails to find any remotely worthy of mention. Although a high mintage issue, the '77-S was struck for export to the Orient, and quality Mint State examples are scarce.(Registry values: N2998)
