Choice 1877-S Trade Dollar
1877-S T$1 MS64 NGC. Large S, the more available of the two mintmark size varieties of the '77-S. A mere hint of golden toning visits this precisely struck and lustrous near-Gem type coin. Well preserved aside from minor contact on the obverse field. Although Trade dollars were struck in considerable numbers, most examples were exported to Asia and eventually melted.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 253E, PCGS# 7046, GSID# 7383)
