    Description

    1878-CC Trade Dollar, AU Sharpness
    Key to the Circulation Strikes

1878-CC T$1 -- Cleaning -- PCGS Genuine. AU Details. With the lowest mintage of the entire Trade dollar series (just 97,000 pieces, almost half of which were melted in July, 1878), the 1878-CC Trade dollar is the scarcest and most-coveted business strike issue of the series. This example shows finely granular surfaces throughout either from the cleaning or from environmental factors, with subdued golden-gray color. A few sparse tinges of silver luster peek through, but they are confined to the obverse. Still, sharp definition remains and representatives are in demand in all conditions.(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 253M, PCGS# 7047)

    Weight: 27.22 grams
