dollar business issues, the 1878-CC is rarest, and has the lowest
mintage. Only 97,000 pieces were produced, and many were likely
among the 44,148 pieces melted by the Carson City Mint on July 19,
1878. This is a colorful example featuring deep shades of purple
and blue toning. Small marks are scattered, though none distract.
