    1878-S T$1 MS64 PCGS. An appealing mosaic of pastel jade, rose, gold, aqua, and smoke occupies both sides of this near-Gem 1878-S Trade dollar, an excellent example for type purposes of this high-mintage issue exceeding 4.1 million circulation strikes. Few abrasions of any import mar the high eye appeal on surfaces that are quite sharply struck. PCGS reports 52 numerically finer (3/15).(Registry values: N2998)
