1878-S Trade Dollar, MS65
Bright Mint Luster, Sharply Struck
1878-S T$1 MS65 PCGS. The 1878-S Trade dollar can usually be
found at most coin shows and auctions, but high-grade examples are
another matter. Only 70 to 140 or so Gem and finer examples are
believed known. This is a sharply detailed piece that is mostly
brilliant, the brightness is only interrupted by a couple of light
patches of pale golden toning seen here and there on each side.
