    Description

Desirable Choice Mint State 1874-CC Trade Dollar

1874-CC T$1 MS64 PCGS. Satiny luster in the fields and a sharp strike, with full definition on Liberty's profile and on the eagle too, with sharp claws and even his thigh is well defined. A few nicks on Liberty's cheek and a bagmark above the eagle's head will serve to identify this one. Toned with golden flecks on the obverse, and a bit of streaky gold on the center of the reverse. Scarcer than the mintage would imply, as the vast majority were sent to the Orient where they have slowly trickled back home with multiple chopmarks to recall their trip overseas. Population: 12 in 64, 2 finer (12/05).
