    Description

    1875-CC Trade Dollar, MS62
    Toned and Lustrous
    Appealing for the Grade

1875-CC T$1 MS62 PCGS. Type One Reverse, berry below claw. The 1875-CC is among the more plentiful Carson City Trade dollars, although Mint State examples remain elusive. The bulk of the Uncirculated population grades in the MS61 to MS63 range, with finer coins being rare. In MS62, this example is certainly collectible, and eye appeal is more pleasing than typical for the grade. The surfaces have the signature satin luster common to Trade dollars from this mint, cast in russet, olive-gold, and lilac hues. The stars are all sharp, and the eagle shows weakness only on its right (facing) leg and talons. Scattered light abrasions are hidden by the patina.
