    Description

Lustrous and Pleasing 1876 Trade Dollar

1876 T$1 MS64 PCGS. Type One/Type Two. Bright and frosty for this issue, quite unlike the other reflective and prooflike example in this sale. Hints of gold are starting to form on Liberty, also on the lower right reverse. Strike doubling is evident along the left wing of the eagle. Scattered handling marks expected for the grade, and an attractive coin for the specialist. Fully struck on Liberty's head and the eagle's thigh and claws, as the Philadelphia Mint was really turning out beautiful coins for the Centennial of the United States.
