    Description

1876 20C PR61 NGC. CAC. BF-2. Attractively toned (and CAC-endorsed as a result), this lower-grade proof shows many small marks and abrasions as if it served as a pocket piece or possibly was plucked from brief circulation. Nevertheless, the mirrored fields are intact and the coin acquired delightful rainbow colors during its long tenure in the McClure Collection. Slight weakness at some of the star centers is noted.

The marketing was exceptional from the photos to the ads in Civil War Times and North South Trader for the cross over people!!! I have had many emails from my Civil War collecting fraternity that saw these and I saw them at the national show in Nashville/Franklin in early December.
