    Description

    1877 Twenty Cent, PR63
    Only 510 Proofs Coined

1877 20C PR63 PCGS Secure. BF-1, R.3. Following two years of circulation strikes, the twenty cent piece was coined only in proof format in 1877 and 1878. Despite slight design differences and a plain edge, the public complained that this coin was too similar to a quarter dollar. As a result, the denomination failed. This Select proof has mirrored, deep gray fields with satiny devices. Faint hairlines are evident on each side.(Registry values: N2998) (NGC ID# 27H4, PCGS# 5305)

    Weight: 5.00 grams
