Description
1864 2C Large Motto MS65 Red PCGS. This short-lived odd denomination has the distinction of being the first coin to feature the IN GOD WE TRUST motto. This razor-sharp Gem shows lustrous copper-gold and orange patina on both sides. A faint die crack from the leaves on the left through the date is noted for the variety enthusiast. A couple of tiny flecks are noted on the obverse, but the surfaces are virtually devoid of any marks. (Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 22N9, PCGS# 3578, GSID# 2676)
