MS64+ Red and Brown
1864 2C Small Motto, FS-401, MS64+ Red and Brown PCGS. CAC.
Identifiers for the Small Motto variety are that the stem to the
leaf beneath WE shows plainly and the first T in TRUST nearly
touches the scroll crease. Both of those characteristics are
present on this high-end near-Gem specimen. The surfaces are
largely red, and they are lustrous, adding to the desirability and
eye appeal of this coin. Sharply impressed, though we note a
