MS65 Red and Brown
1864 2C Small Motto, FS-401, MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC.
After the low-mintage 1872, the 1864 Small Motto two cent piece
poses the greatest challenge in the date run set. This Gem Red and
Brown example is conditionally scarce. The strike is razor-sharp,
and satiny luster prevails over mottled toning. The patina includes
shades of olive, amber, violet, and copper-orange. Population: 50
in 65 Red and Brown, 6 finer (2/16).Coin Index Numbers: (Variety PCGS# 38233, Base PCGS# 3580, Greysheet# 377849)
