1864 2C Small Motto, FS-401, MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC.
The Small Motto 1864 two cent piece is one of the two major key
issues in the circulation-strike series, the other being the
low-mintage 1872. The 1864 Small Motto is scarce at the Gem grade
level, regardless of color classification. This example displays
satiny luster with blended chestnut-brown and light rose-gold
colors. The strike is sharp. A few faint freckle flecks are seen
around the NTS in CENTS, but the surfaces are otherwise
