Description

1865 2C Fancy 5 MS66 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. The obverse boasts primarily orange-tan patina while the reverse is more brownish-orange with some light-tan peripheral accents, but both sides have in common a lack of visible carbon or mentionable abrasions. The strong eye appeal is boosted by good luster and a decent strike. This piece is the sole finest Fancy 5 two cent at PCGS in Red and Brown, although there is one MS67 Red finer (3/15).
