1865 2C Plain 5 MS66 Red PCGS. Always elusive at the Premium Gem level with full Red surfaces, this needle-sharp 1865 was struck with lightly clashed dies with no loss of detail on either side. Rich, reddish-orange accents embellish the natural, golden-orange surfaces. Marks are few and carbon is minimal on this solid Plain 5 representative. Population (all varieties combined): 54 in 66 (3 in 66+) Red, 1 finer (1/19).
