1866 Two Cent Piece, MS65 Red and Brown
Heavy Obverse Die Cracks

1866 2C MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. This piece has a heavy die crack through the top of the date, extending left and right, with other cracks in the leaves at the lower right obverse. The reverse appears to be an early state with no die cracks. Dappled light orange surfaces exhibit wisps of brown toning, mostly on the reverse of this lovely Gem. Population: 89 in 65 (2 in 65+) Red and Brown, 17 finer. CAC: 35 in 65, 11 finer (11/22).
