Description
1867 MS 65 Red and Brown. Double Motto. Speckled russet toning covers most of this satiny example. Breen 2392; the top of the obverse is boldly doubled. On the reverse, the legends are softly struck but still quite legible. A wonderfully original coin and apparently a very rare coin in this lofty grade. The only comparable coin mentioned by Breen was an "Unc." which appeared as Lot 519 in Auction 519. A true prize for the variety specialist!
