Description

1869 Two Cent, MS65+ Red
Satiny and Appealing

1869 2C MS65+ Red PCGS. Satiny copper-orange and gold luster illuminates sharp design elements on this high-end Gem. Under a loupe, faint die polishing lines are visible in the fields, along with a few microscopic specks. A linear graze in the far left obverse margin is all that prevents a full MS66 Red designation. The 1869 two cent piece is a rarity in Gem condition, and finer pieces are out of reach for most collectors. Population: 33 in 65 (2 in 65+) Red, 4 finer (11/17).(Registry values: N1793)
