Sharp 1872 Two Cent, MS64 Red and Brown
1872 2C MS64 Red and Brown PCGS. Sharply struck and free from visible carbon, the surfaces are exceptionally clean and mark-free for the grade. Each side presents a tan-brown appearance with hints of gold. The luster quality is slightly muted, the grade-limiting factor. The 1872 has the lowest (and last) mintage of business strikes in the two cent series, with only 65,000 pieces struck.
