1871 2C MS66 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. Excellent preservation is the hallmark of this ruddy-red Premium Gem 1871 two cent, one of the nicer survivors of the original production of 721,250 circulation strikes. Visible carbon is absent and much red color remains, although a couple of brownish patches in the fields on the reverse account for the color designation. Population: 9 in 66 Red and Brown, 0 finer. CAC: 6 in 66, 0 finer (9/20).(Registry values: N1793)
