Attractive Red and Brown Surfaces

1872 2C PR66 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. The Philadelphia Mint struck a generous mintage of 950 proof two cent pieces for collectors in 1872. This attractive Premium Gem proof exhibits sharply detailed design elements and hazily reflective fields on both sides. The well-preserved surfaces show a mix of original red and light brown patina. The quality within the grade is attested by the CAC sticker. Population: 47 in 66 (4 in 66+) Red and Brown, 2 finer. CAC: 26 in 66, 0 finer (11/22).
