    "1781" General Daniel Morgan at Cowpens Comitia Americana Medal MS65 Red and Brown NGC. Betts-593, Julian MI-7. Bronze. 56 mm. Struck from the copy dies produced by M. Barre at the Paris Mint, based on the example from George Washington's personal set of Comitia Americana medals in silver, now housed at the Massachusetts Historical Society. The copy dies were received at Philadelphia in November 1839 and remained in use through September 1885. Brick-red surfaces exhibit areas of glowing copper-orange color. Small carbon flecks are noted on each side.
