Official Large Silver U.S. Bicentennial Medal
1776-1976 U.S. Eight-Ounce Sterling Silver Medal. Silver, 76 mm, 256 gm. Official U.S. Mint Bicentennial medal in the original case of issue, engraved by Mint engraver Frank Gasparro. The total mintage back in 1976 was only 9,459 pieces. These large medals have become much scarcer and are seldom seen in the marketplace, as many examples have been melted over the years.Auction Info
