in Original Mint Packaging

Four-Piece Mint Medal Set. Includes: large 1876 Centennial medal, Julian-CM-11, gilt copper, 57 mm, 105.9 gm, the Mint sold the gilt copper pieces for three dollars each, producing only about 2,100 pieces as compared with 7,000 of the same-size bronze medals (which this set lacks), Mint State; small 1876 Centennial medal, Julian-CM-10, silver, 38 mm, 24.9 gm, AU with lovely iridescent silver-gray and steel-blue patina; small 1876 Centennial medal, Julian-CM-10, gilt copper, 38 mm, 21.5 gm, Choice AU; plus 1864 Great Sanitary Fair, Julian-CM-44, bronze, 57 mm, 105.9 gm, Mint State, in place of the large missing bronze CM-11. All of the pieces are attractive, despite varying degrees of minor staining or light contact. With original purple velvet-lined box of issue, VF outside, Choice inside.
