Includes: 1973 Nixon-Agnew, antiqued sterling silver, 64 mm, 174.9 gm, dies by Gilroy Roberts and struck by the Franklin Mint, obverse jugate heads facing right, reverse Great Seal of the United States with details of Nixon and Agnew's second inauguration (Jan. 20, 1973), Choice to Gem; another, similar, sterling silver but flashy, mirrored proof surfaces, sealed round clear plastic holder, Gem; another, but larger and bronze, 70 mm, 200.4 gm, matte surfaces, Choice; and two more, also bronze but flashy proof surfaces, one edge-stamped with serial #36574, a second in a Capital plastic holder, both Choice proof. Accompanying official box and paperwork notes that the Nixon-Agnew second term inaugural medals by Roberts mark the first time that an inaugural medal has been sculpted by an artist whose presidential portrait also appears on U.S. coinage (the Kennedy half dollar). They were also the first official inaugural medals offered to the public in proof quality as well as the traditional matte-finish editions.

The marketing was exceptional from the photos to the ads in Civil War Times and North South Trader for the cross over people!!! I have had many emails from my Civil War collecting fraternity that saw these and I saw them at the national show in Nashville/Franklin in early December.
