Description

Republic gold Essai 10 Centesimos 1930-(a) MS66 NGC, Paris mint, KM-E10. Mintage: 60. A highly coveted Essai from the hugely popular Uruguayan series, struck in significantly smaller numbers than the bronze and aluminum counterparts across denominations. An outstanding product of French sculptor Pierre Alexandre Morlon with easily recognizable Art Deco influence, complimented by matte-like appearances and full golden resplendence. We note we handled an NCG MS61 in May 2022 that sold for $2,040 - this specimen is vastly superior, the sole finest extant in the NGC census, and we anticipate fierce bidding for this elite piece.
