Pius IX silver Specimen Medal Anno XI (1856) SP64 PCGS, Mazio-704, Rinaldi-50. 43mm. 36.06gm. By F. Bianchi. Bust left, wearing zucchetto, mozzetta, and pallium / Leo enthroned in the Basilica di S. Giovanni in Laterano, reading Doctrine of Immaculate Conception to audience; above in clouds, Virgin and four angels. An exceptional high-relief medal, attractively toned.Housed in an oversized holder.
