Description

1916-S Half Dollar, MS64
Lustrous and Strongly Struck

1916-S 50C MS64 PCGS. Deep luster coats untoned surfaces, with some attractive orange-peeling present for texture. A small row of five marks in the right obverse field are all that separate this wonderful coin from a Gem designation. Detail is excellent, with near-full definition on the head and a well-outlined hand. This is a superlative survivor from the first year of issue of this beautiful series.(Registry values: N1793)
