Description
Gem 1916-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar
Low Mintage Issue
1916-S 50C MS65 PCGS. CAC. The 1916-S Walking Liberty half
dollar is a low mintage issue (508,000 pieces) from the first year
of the design type. The date is known for its typically weak
strike. This attractive Gem specimen shows the usual softness on
Liberty's hand and the eagle's leg, but most design elements are
sharp. The surfaces are mostly brilliant, with tiny hints of gold
at the rims. The bright satiny luster adds to the impressive visual
appeal, as confirmed by the CAC sticker. Population: 85 in 65, 14
finer (6/10).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24PN, PCGS# 6568, GSID# 6712)
