1916-S Walking Liberty Half, MS66
Registry-Grade CAC Coin
Beautiful Rainbow Border Toning

1916-S 50C MS66 PCGS. CAC. The San Francisco Mint struck only 508,000 Walking Liberty half dollars in 1916. In high grade, this issue is significantly scarcer than both its Denver and Philadelphia counterparts. The 1916-S is genuinely scarce in MS65, and it is a rarity in MS66. PCGS and NGC each report only a single Superb Gem finer.

This Premium Gem stands out among its peers, though, as it is one of just three pieces in this grade with CAC endorsement, a distinction that neither of the finer-graded coins claim. The strike is sharp throughout, and the vibrantly lustrous surfaces are devoid of detracting abrasions. Vivid rainbow toning glitters in the margins, leaving the interiors with a warm golden glow and outstanding eye appeal. An important Registry coin. Population: 16 in 66, 1 finer. CAC: 3 in 66, 0 finer (8/20).
