1917-D Obverse Mintmark Half, MS65
Scarcer of the Two Mintmark Varieties

1917-D 50C Obverse MS65 PCGS. CAC. Among 1917-D half dollars, those with the mintmark on the obverse are in the minority, struck before the mintmark was moved to a less conspicuous spot at the lower left reverse. The present Gem is immensely lustrous with slightly above-average central detail and smooth, subtly gold-kissed silver-white surfaces.
