Description

1917-D Half Dollar, MS64
Popular Reverse Mintmark

1917-D 50C Reverse Mintmark MS64 PCGS. CAC. The 1917-D Reverse is the scarcer of the two mintmark variants from this year. More pieces were struck with the reverse mintmark, but for some reason fewer were saved, especially in the better grades of Mint State. This piece is well struck for the issue with noticeable separation between the thumb and fingers on Liberty's wreath hand. The well-preserved brilliant surfaces radiate vibrant mint luster, with outstanding eye appeal. CAC: 24 in 64, 10 finer (12/25).(Registry values: N2998)
