Not Sold Description
1917-D 50C Reverse MS63 PCGS. The position of the mintmark on this type was shifted from the obverse to the reverse, early enough in the year 1917 that considerably more of the Reverse coins were produced. For unknown reasons, however, the Reverse variety is scarcer in Mint State than the Obverse variety. This example is softly struck on Liberty's head and branch hand, with soft satin luster and light, creamy-beige coloration. A few minor marks and a small gray spot, on Liberty's lower skirt area, limit the grade.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24PS, PCGS# 6571, GSID# 6714)
