1917-S 50C Obverse Mintmark AU58 PCGS. Light-silver surfaces
contain faint hints of russet over lightly hairlined surfaces. Only
minor weakness is present on both sides, but it is still above the
60-70% average cited by Bowers. The 952,000 mintage of the Obverse
Mintmark type is outpaced by the Reverse Mintmark type by almost 6
