Obverse Mintmark
1917-S 50C Obverse Mintmark AU58 PCGS. The 1917-S Walking
Liberty half dollar, with the prominent obverse mintmark, claims a
small mintage of 952,000 pieces. The mintmark was moved to the
reverse later in the year, creating a popular two-year design type.
Natural subtle silver-gray toning blankets both sides of this
near-Mint Obverse Walker. Soft mint luster remains on both sides,
while the motifs retain remarkably sharp definition with little
