1917-S Half Dollar, MS62
Obverse Mintmark
1917-S 50C Obverse MS62 PCGS. In 1916 and early 1917, the
mintmark appeared below the motto on the obverse of the half
dollars. Both sides of this Select Mint State Obverse Mintmark
specimen offer frosty luster beneath original gold, blue, and
iridescent toning. The strike is much stronger than usual for the
issue, although it still shows some weakness.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24PT, PCGS# 6572, Greysheet# 6715)
