Amazing MS64 1917-S Obverse Half
1917-S 50C Obverse MS64 NGC. A great near-Gem example of this second-year obverse mintmark variety, struck in the early part of 1917 to the tune of less than a million pieces. The light gold-gray toning covering much of the obverse deepens slightly to apricot and even peach on the reverse. Excellent luster and an above-average strike. NGC has graded 24 numerically finer examples (8/09).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 24PT, PCGS# 6572, GSID# 6715)
